About me

Carolina is a self-taught artist based in the south west of Western Australia. Her mediums are watercolour and acrylic paint, which she uses to create artworks of local land and ocean scapes, surf scenes, portraiture and marine life.

Carolina’s passion for painting lies in portraying life on land, in the ocean and the art of riding waves. An expression of her love for the ocean and the joy it brings to her life.

“I am continuously captivated by the rugged, yet breathtaking land and ocean scapes that we are lucky to call home, here in the South West. Nestled amongst the rocky coves and the limestone coast, from the building swell to the breaking wave, within the inner reefs to the open sea, a little bit of magic is hidden. It is there for you to find and you can see it in the sparkling eyes of those who've found it before. My art is a celebration of just that. More of a feeling than a visual depiction, I aim to portray what words cannot describe and share a little bit of this notion that we live and breathe for. Whatever it is that lifts up your soul, I hope there's a little bit of it intertwined within my art, just for you to find.”
